The situation of people with learning disabilities in Ukraine
Following the invasion of Ukraine by Russian forces on 24th February, the Scottish Commission for People with Learning Disabilities (SCLD), like so many, has been shocked and saddened by the impact upon civilian life.
SCLD is particularly concerned about the impact of the conflict on people with learning disabilities who are living in institutional settings in Ukraine. We welcome the efforts of Inclusion Europe and ENABLE Scotland to help mitigate the impact of the invasion on people with learning disabilities in Ukraine.
