Web AdminNews item

A team of university researchers from across the UK are looking for people with learning disabilities to take part in a new study about their experiences during the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

The team is led by Professor Chris Hatton (Manchester Metropolitan University) and Professor Richard Hastings (University of Warwick). Professor Andrew Jahoda (University of Glasgow) is leading the Scottish part of the study. They are looking to speak to people with learning disabilities and their family and supporters, including paid carers. The team are looking for a sample of 1,000 adults with a learning disability and 500 family and paid support staff. The study will involve speaking to those who take part three times over the course of a year.

The research is being funded by UK Research and Innovation (UKRI). More information about the research study is available here.
