SCLD host the annual Learning Disability Awards as a key activity of Learning Disability Week. The Awards are held in May.
This is an opportunity to celebrate the many achievements of people with learning disabilities in Scotland. We also want to recognise the invaluable support provided by family carers and support workers in supporting people with learning disabilities to reach their full potential.
There are 8 Award Categories which provide a range of options and lots of opportunity to nominate from sporting achievement, creative talent, community champion, skills and learning, enterprise and more. Each award category has a judging panel to make sure each nomination is assessed fairly and equitably.
The finalists are filmed and their stories are shown at the Learning Disability Awards Ceremony in May when they are presented with their awards at a gala event.

We will be in touch with everyone who is taking part on the week beginning Monday 12th March 2018.
The Scottish Learning Disability Awards provide an opportunity to celebrate, on a national level, the rarely heard stories and achievements of people with learning disabilities and the people who support them. We want to use Learning Disability Week 2018 as a platform to make visible those individuals who are excelling in areas where people with learning disabilities are rarely represented.
The 2018 Awards will recognise finalists under 8 categories. Find out more about our award categories and access nomination forms by clicking on the links below.
