Relationships are an important part of most people’s lives; this is no different for people with learning disabilities. We all have the same rights to enjoy safe and healthy relationships.

Enjoying a relationship can be difficult for some people with learning disabilities, due to barriers, such as a lack of sex and relationships education and wider attitudes.

The Scottish Commission for Learning Disability published a scoping study on this topic in June 2018, in order to explore the current landscape and to prompt further research.
