When people use their creative talent to express their perspective on the world, the potential to challenge attitudes and have an impact is huge. However, people with learning disabilities are rarely represented in the creative arts. That is why we want to recognise the emerging talent of a person or group of people with learning disabilities who have used creative means to do something amazing.
This award is open for nominations across all creative disciplines. Whether your nominee(s) write, dance, sing, produce visual art, act, perform music or are involved in something completely unique, we want to hear about them.
For this category, the judges will be looking for nominations which fit the following criteria:
- Demonstrate the individual(s) sustained involvement in their chosen field (2-3 years)
- Demonstrate and evidence the individual(s) ambition
- Provide evidence of how the individual(s) are developing their practice or how they are aspiring to do this.
