To celebrate both Learning Disability Week and Mental Health Awareness Week 2018, Living Golf are having a ‘Texas Scramble Tournament’ on Friday 18th May from 10am – 2pm. Living Golf welcomes everyone – people of all ages, with any physical and mental challenges, learning disabilities, autism, people suffering from mental health issues or any other circumstances.

All parents, friends, teachers, carers and support workers are very welcome to join the tournament. Please book by Monday 14th May to secure your place. The cost is £5.00 per player.

As part of Learning Disability Week, Scottish charity PAMIS are holding their annual ‘Profound Impact Day’ – a campaign day devoted to raising awareness of profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD).  Profound Impact Day will take place this Thursday the 17th of May. To celebrate and raise awareness, PAMIS will be holding an inclusion event at the Wellgate Shopping Centre, from 12 noon to 2pm this Thursday.

PAMIS will also be screening a short film – ‘Together, we have a Profound Impact’ in the Dundee Central Library Cinema between 12noon and 2pm and then ‘On Richard’s Side’, another short film, which will run from 2.45pm.  Teas, coffees and refreshments will be served all day.

PAMIS have created information packs, assisted by students on placement, which can be downloaded here. Help raise awareness of Profound Impact Day by using and following the hashtag #ProfoundImpact on Thursday 17th May.
