To mark Learning Disability Week, the Falkirk Learning Disability Team will be manning a stand in ‘The Hub’ (back of Marks and Spencer), Howgate Shopping Centre on the 17th May, 11.30am-2pm. The aim is to raise awareness of the issues faced by people with learning disabilities in Scotland’s past and present, and to bring their stories to the attention of a wider audience. There will be pictures of the old Royal Scottish National Hospital; leaflets advertising the services the team now provide; mock interviews with clients and a chance for people to put their views forward.
