The Scottish Government wants to provide good, flexible early learning and childcare that is accessible and affordable for all families in Scotland.
All 3 and 4 year olds, and some 2 year olds are entitled to 600 hours of free early learning and childcare per year. This entitlement is being increased to 1140 hours.
The Scottish Commission for People with Learning Disabilities (SCLD) is doing some research to find out whether children with learning disabilities are accessing free early learning and childcare.
SCLD wants to know what makes it easier and what the barriers are to children with learning disabilities accessing free early learning and childcare.
We want to interview parents of children with learning disabilities about their experiences of accessing early learning and childcare. We also want to interview local authority early years and health visitor leads.
How can I take part?
If you want to take part in the research or have any questions you can ask the researcher Ruth Callander, by phoning SCLD on 0141 248 3733 or by sending an email.
