A Position Statement on the easing of COVID-19 restrictions in Scotland

Scotland is emerging from the COVID-19 pandemic and the restrictions which we have adapted to living within for the past 18 months are beginning to be eased.

For many people with learning disabilities in Scotland, the pandemic has been a very unsettling time; many people with learning disabilities have been shielding and many have experienced cuts to their support packages and day services as a direct result of the pandemic.

The restrictions are being eased as Scotland records high COVID-19 case numbers. In light of this, the Scottish Commission for People with Learning Disabilities (SCLD) has written a Position Statement to both set out and acknowledge the concerns of people with learning disabilities and those who support them.
