Meet the Research team
I am the Director of SCLD. I am responsible for the way that SCLD develops. My key skills are: Facilitation, Evaluation, Policy briefing.
"My particular strength is findings ways to listen to make sure that the views of disabled people and staff are included in evaluations. I am also proud of the way that I can link practice to national policies in all of the work that I do.
I have 30 years’ experience of research in health and community care. I worked with the World Health Organisation in Europe on healthy cities and have written about services for older people and people with learning disabilities. I have a particular interest in improving services for people with high support needs."
I am a Research Officer with SCLD. This means that I gather information and try to work out what it tells us. I like my job because it involves lots of different activities like interviewing people, reading, working with numbers and writing about interesting subjects.
I am responsible for the development of the eSAY dataset. Specific development areas include: education; employment; Local Area Co-ordination; Autism Spectrum Disorder and links with Insight (a careers information database).
