What Consultancy Offers

SCLD offers a comprehensive consultancy service to all types of organisations from local authorities, voluntary organisations and private sector businesses. The work we do is inclusive which means that where possible, we work with co-consultants who have learning disabilities or who are family carers.

Consultancy packages are flexible and are designed to suit clients’ individual requirements. They often include elements provided by the SCLD training and research departments.

SCLD can provide consultancy and support around the following issues:

• We talk to people who use a service to find out how good that service is.

• We can provide a package of training and consultancy to help organisations.

Planning for participation

• This new service supports organisations to establish a sustainable forum for people that it supports. The aim of such a forum is to improve the organisation’s governance by giving an authentic voice to people using the service, and an effective means for that voice to be heard.
