eSAY 2010 Statistics Release

The eSAY 2010 Statistics Release has been published. The main report tells you all of the information collected by local authorities on the lives of people with learning disabilities and autism. There are also easy read guides of each section of the Release which make the information easier to understand.

College courses for people with learning disabilities

Collecting stories about college

Self-Directed Support

Local Area Co-ordination saved in the Western Isles

Earlier this year, Comhairle nan Eilean Siar, or Western Isles Council, threatened to cut their Local Area Co-ordination service.  Local people protested against this so the council decided to hold a consultation, to ask people what they thought about the service.  Many people from the Western Isles responded to the consultation saying how much they valued the Local Area Co-ordinators and the approach.

Campaign to save LAC in the Western Isles

People who work with LACs in the Western Isles have been campaigning against proposed cuts to the Local Area Co-ordination service.  Western Isles Council are to hold a consultation with the users of the LAC service before making any decisions about the future of the service.
