What is this publication about? This publication is a piece of research about people who receive Self-Directed Support and employ a Personal Assistant. 

• The researchers wanted to find out how people who employed a personal assistant were getting on and if they had any problems. 
• They also wanted to see what kind of people worked as personal assistants and if they had any difficulties doing their job. 
• The information which they gathered will be used to find ways to support and develop both people who received Self-Directed Support as employers as well as people who work as personal assistants.
