Government statistics

The "Same as You" statistics release in 2006 has information about how many people had their own tenancies.  In 2006 local authorities reported to the Scottish Government that 6,448 people with learning disabilities in Scotland - just over 1 in 4 - had their own tenancies.  This does not necessarily mean that these people were living on their own or in supported living.
